Paris Climate Agreement

One month ago, Paris Fr was hit by a terrorist attack. People died and the media covered the event everywhere.

This weekend 190+ nations agreed to limit their own carbon emissions. This agreement presumes to limit global temperature. That deadly carbon makes up 0.0034% of the atmosphere.

Grass, Trees, weeds and every other plant needs that Co2 (carbon dioxide). The plants pull out the carbon and release O2. What we breath.

World Climate Change conferences began about 1979. The first three conferences were held in Geneva, CH (Switzerland) until 2009. Now, the folks that concur focus on UN representatives.

Every delegate to the UN should acknowledge a recognized fact. This is a pinky promise among heads of state. It is feel good on paper. This meeting was fun for all involved.

Global climate change happens in the north and south hemisphere. Twice annually. Climate change is hard to explain close to the Equator.

The purpose of the movement is explained to the populus by useless agreements. None of which can be enforced.

There is one thing. Spank your political hand if you are one of the 190 signers to this vacation resolution.

COP21 in Paris, FR

Paris: City of Lights

The city of Lights is hosting COP21. Paris has a centuries old reputation for discussion and free thought. This convocation of leaders expect to discuss "climate change".

Climate Change is the latest iteration of CO2 is bad, carbon dioxide. In fifth grade I learned about the earth; rain comes down, plants take it up and with CO2 grow larger.

Later, I learned that the world is based on Carbon. That is the same element that the COP21 gathering wants to universally tax. It is so absurd that it must have been inspired by the Beatles: Tax Man

Not everything that you hear should not be subject to question. Double negative intended.

If we believe the cream rises to the top (smart), the bottle is upside-down.

COP21 November 30 2015 in Paris, FR

The argument about global warming is tough to follow. One source warns that we have experienced two-thirds of a degree F, another article cites eight of a degree C over the same period.

This change in temperature is attributed to CO2. A greenhouse gas. Let's take a moment and discuss greenhouse gas.

Water vapor, a greenhouse gas, is 95% of the atmosphere. CO2, another greenhouse gas, is 0.034 % of the atmosphere. It's a rare gas in the atmosphere.

Water vapor often falls as rain for the plants on earth. Plants absorb the rain, inhale CO2 and use it to grow.

The plants, from the Sequoia trees in California to the grass on the lawn, use the "C" to grow and give off the "O2" for us to breathe.

I'm almost embarrassed to point out that warming precedes CO2 release from the oceans. A simple experiment demonstrates that warming comes before release of CO2. Beverage makers cool their product to enable the injection of the 'fizz', CO2,

When the soda (ocean) is warmed, the carbon dioxide comes out of solution.

Carbon dioxide does not come out of a cold solution. A solution containing CO2, when warmed, releases carbon dioxide.

No human laws, agreements or taxes will change this convention of life on earth. Mankind can change the topography of Earth (Gaia), but it is not within the purview of humans to change Nature.

Mankind learns the rules of Nature. Nature does not read human laws.

“Transistor Flow”

-- November 13, 2015 in Paris. FR.

A small pressure against a large flow can change its direction.

Whether it is electricity or another flow of energy, water or society that moves on credit and merchandise, a small pressure that differs from expected causes a large change in direction.

In 1947, we were offered the transistor. It works on this concept. The battery provides a constant supply of power. The transistor controls the power to the audio output (for example) to the speakers.

Compare this abstraction to what happens in current society. The battery, in this analogy, is the social current of “it’s all just fine”, “my credit is good”. Life is good and I’m safe. I don’t care about anywhere but my world.

It only takes a small force from an event (read media focused) to amplify a local event into national news. Change and confrontation happens not all at once. These small  forces to move society go back no less than twenty years…

Friday, 13 November in Paris is only the latest example of a small force redirecting society. We get upset---for a moment---about the happenings elsewhere.

Take a look at the list of small ‘forces’ that have nudged western society to suicide by ignorance.

Tell Time, Keep time. Know where you are.

How does this work?

There is the "big hand" and the "little hand" on the clock. This is the design of the time convention that most folks have known since John Harrison before his time.

John made the clock that allowed ships to know their relative distance from London, the prime meridian, to the west.

Star sighting always gave voyagers a position North to South. East to West was a time thing.

Harrison created a clock that would work on a ship and maintain time.
